Jay is a professional wildlife biologist with over 25 years of experience in wildlife and habitat monitoring, assessment, and restoration of terrestrial and coastal marine environments. He specializes in designing and managing environmental programs, analyzing complex datasets, and working with clients, Indigenous groups, and stakeholders to solve environmental challenges to meet project objectives. As a technical expert in avian ecology and intertidal systems, Jay has led programs to assess project effects on wildlife and habitats in both coastal and terrestrial environments. He is experienced in using innovative tools such as drones and eDNA for species surveys and monitoring, ensuring the collection of high-quality data that form the foundation of environmental assessments, follow-up monitoring programs, and inform adaptive management strategies. Jay has worked on projects of all sizes, from small-scale assessments to large, multi-billion-dollar infrastructure initiatives and has experience in port and infrastructure, renewable energy, LNG, municipal, federal, military, and transportation sectors.
